Description 

This project is was based on all specialties and key functionalities for a hospital unit, with the capacity for 200 beds. As a methodology, the approach was made through technical specifications, ensuring the right procedures, techniques or design in terms of sizing and finishes, which are considered acceptable and important to a proper final result and minimum requirements for an efficient maintenance / durability and energetic performance. The functional program is the main source for the choices made in the architectural design of this hospital.The design solutions give special attention to acoustic issues, as well as the thermal, visual comfort and indoor environment, understanding them as compelling factors for the humanisation of health care, especially in aspects of color, texture, shine, reflection and finishes design and medical equipments to be used. It is essential to ensure natural light in all internment and stay spaces for patients and staff, except those in which clinical, technical and functional requirements prevent this. The project ensures the dignity and privacy of patients, although ensuring patients observation by health professionals.In this project, in order to ensure the right concept of hospital environment, the abolition of architectural barriers was especially careful, thought and designed. This project secured several aspects of fire safety, earthquakes, internal radiation, dangerous waste, lightning strikes and intrusion. Design standards and certification documents that ensure the right levels of ambience and comfort of the building as well as construction materials and using processes were indicated.
