Description

Rehabilitation project of a house of the 50. Original project of Portuguese Suave Style, also known as the architecture of the Estado Novo, with an extremely nationalistic language, where the facades are the reference of the Portuguese house and it whose one of the few examples of the neighbourhood that still retains originally all its traces. The beginning in this rehabilitation project was to target the property of identity maintenance, dare rehabilitation and cleaning of facades, its stonework and original punches in stone that characterise so well this time in history. Two windows of de back facade ware more opened  to increase health and strengthen the relation of this floor -1 with the lower level of the garden. But the intervention occurs mainly inside the building, which sought to dare the interpretation of the new ways of living the formalisation of its concept, its main objective is strengthening the link between the inside and the outside and in a clearer and more fluid form of spaces. A facade that sought to keep the memory of the story as opposed to its sober and sophisticated contemporary interior with a spatial continuity where white fixed furniture, the floor covering in solid wood complete this space with great comfort. The building had a profound intervention with major improvements in their living conditions and energy sustainability.
