The concept searched for inspiration in the historical elements of the medieval urban core of the city of Guimaraes and defined five key elements: the viewpoint, the square, the street | path, the scale and metric of facades and the materials (granite stone). This project crosses these five elements with the relationship between public and private spaces, by preserving the value of the public square as an aggregator element of urban life, with relevant meaning for the lifestyle of the inhabitants and visitors, and as a leisure and reception place to discover. The living: it is intended to provide users a replication of some of the best experiences of Guimaraes. A new way of inhabiting, living in a new community, offering better conditions for living, for both young people and seniors. It is intended that this space can be a reference in the city, as a multipurpose space, providing housing, trade, services, restaurants, and facilities for a senior age. This concept assumes that a space that can be enjoyed by the people who live and people passing by excellence is a space of refuge, facing nature by extending the square of Vila Flor Palace.
