Tiago Rocha was born in Lisbon in 1973. His passion for built space led him to graduate in architecture. He started to work even before graduation, in 1992, motivated by the desire to develop working skills beyond architecture.
In order to enrich his professional experience, he always looked forward to gain more and more knowledge in complementary areas such as landscape architecture, urban planning and strategic planning, with a special interest for execution-centered projects. He joined Parque EXPO in 2000 meeting the challenges of implementing a national project of the utmost importance, the POLIS Program, which gave rise to a new intervention concept and strategy of Portuguese cities.
This new common strategy gave rise to operational programs to be carried out in several cities. After the legitimate success of this operation, he then joined the new team of Parque EXPO’s international department, having collaborated on international projects of great importance and scale, i.e. in Algeria, in Brazil, in Morocco and in Egypt. In addition to the exciting way he lives his profession, he has an interest in extreme sports, in different cultures, in travels above all on a motorcycle...
